Buenos Aires launches new interactive Procedures Guide for investors

The Investor Assistance Center of the City of Buenos Aires launches its free Interactive Procedures Guide in the renewed Portal for Investor Assistance Services: invest.buenosaires.gov.ar.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 11, 2009 -
The Guide provides “step by step” instructions with detailed information about the necessary procedures and requirements for implementing and developing business enterprises in the City of Buenos Aires, not only in national entities but also in the different offices of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires.

This Guide, which aims at facilitating the investment process of national and foreign companies, includes information about: procedures, requirements to set up a company, tax enrollment according to the business activity and other variables.

It also offers some data and the web page of the different entities in order to simplify the search for information and optimize the time needed for making investment projects.

“This guide is the first of the different interactive tools that we are developing. The idea is to facilitate the process for investors.  In just one place, the company will obtain all the information about the corresponding procedures and in this way we can ensure transparency in the information” explained Damián Specter, General Director of the Investor Assistance Center.

Melisa Piceda, the project leader, stated that: “The Investor Assistance Center continues working in order to promote the development of different projects in this City. We think that the first step that we need to take in order to improve the business climate in this City is to provide clear and precise information.  We are interested in getting in contact with companies in order to learn about their projects and accompany them in their process".

Investor Assistance Center

Since November 2008 the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires created the Investor Assistance Center, an area of the Ministry of Economic Development that interacts with the different areas of the government that participate in the establishment processes of new companies and the implementation of new investment projects of existing companies.

The main objective of this area is to improve the business climate of the City by acting as a “hinge” between the public and private sector.  For that purpose, there is a department devoted to the Establishment of Investments which gives advice and solves bureaucratic problems in the process of obtaining Authorizations and Permits in this City. The Investor Assistance Center also has a specific department for providing assistance to SMBs and another department for providing Customized Consultancy Services to large investors and strategic industries.
