SPOKANE-- As their countdown to a historic first ever all-Native comedy special on Showtime approaches, Pow Wow Comedy Jam is not waiting around to see if the comedy gods will tap them as Hollywood's next "it" tour. Instead the foursome which features Spokane's own Vaughn Eagelbear, continues to travel and keep busy with their live show schedule, which includes a stop in Spokane, Sunday August 23, at Uncle D's Comedy Underground, inside Bluz at the Bend.
The intimate 100 seat venue is a change for the group that normally performs in larger casinos showrooms and theaters but they welcome the chance to return to Spokane. "We've done shows in Spokane at least once a year since 2007 and we've always had a great time," says, Marc Yaffee, the group's co-founder along with Eaglebear. "The Native community is very supportive of us and so are Spokane comedy fans in general ."
