Big Cat Energy Corporation (OTCBB: BCTE)
Big Cat Energy Corporation (OTCBB: BCTE), a leading supplier of water handling technology for the coalbed methane industry, announced yesterday that they began installation of its ARID tool and technology on a pilot well drilling project Yates Petroleum.

ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP)
ZAP (OTCBB: ZAAP), a pioneer in the electric vehicle industry, announced Monday that the company has received $25 million in financing from Cathaya Capital, L.P. to expedite deliveries of trucks and vans to fill current fleet and government contracts.

Viral Genetics, Inc. (Pink Sheets: VRAL)
Viral Genetics, Inc. (Pink Sheets: VRAL), a California-based biotechnology company known for its efforts in developing the antiviral VGV-1 injectable drug for HIV/AIDS treatment, announced late last week that they have formed a subsidiary called MetaCytoLytics, Inc. This company was developed to enhance a technology developed by Dr. M. Karen Newell, Ph.D., a University of Colorado professor. Dr. Newell’s new development is called “metabolic disruption technology” (MDT) and aims to block tumor cells from generating energy from glucose and fatty acids inside the patient’s body.

Dr. Richard J. Trauger will be functioning as chief executive officer of MetaCytoLytics, Inc. and will focus on moving this concept toward clinical trials and researching additional applications for this cancer therapy technology. Dr. Newell’s technology process has been found to destroy cancer cells in animal studies. The metabolic disruption technology (MDT) is also said to work in conjunction with existing treatments such as radiation and chemotherapy to decrease the growth of tumor cells.

With this technology, Viral Genetics, Inc. believes that they “finally have the knowledge and tools to turn this concept into a clinical reality, “ said Dr. Trauger. “The potential for this technology platform is quite exciting.”

Dr. Newell, developer of the MDT treatment, commented, “The results are consistently supportive that metabolic disruption, in combination with conventional therapies, is very promising for combating drug resistant tumors.”

The company has an option to acquire exclusive rights to Dr. Newell’s metabolic disruption technology from the University of Colorado and the University of Vermont where it was developed. Viral Genetics, Inc. is working to complete negotiations to convert this option into an exclusive worldwide license covering a broad range of uses and therapeutic applications.

ABOUT VIRAL GENETICS:
Headquartered in San Marino, California, Viral Genetics discovers and develops drug therapies to treat infectious, autoimmune, and immunological deficiency disorders using its thymus nuclear protein compound (TNP). The company recently entered into an Exclusive License Agreement with the University of Colorado and V-Clip Pharmaceuticals (a subsidiary of the Company) to license technology developed by M. Karen Newell, Ph. D., which appears to explain TNP and provide a means to optimize therapies based on TNP for future clinical trials. Viral Genetics believes that its investigational HIV/AIDS drug based on TNP, called VGV-1, represents a unique approach to treating HIV due to the apparently novel mechanism, low toxicity profile, simple dosing regimen, and short-course of treatment.
