In business for more than 18 years, Progress Sales of Texas first marketed its home fragrances and odor eliminators to the retail and commercial vacuum industries. With its two cornerstone product lines – Fragrant Scent and Odor Control Solutions – the company established its brand by anchoring to three retail vacuum stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth area: Grapevine Vacuum, Southlake Vacuum and Progress Vacuum of Hurst. Later, the company expanded into the mainstream consumer market with Good Home Scents.
"The vacuum industry is our bread and butter," Pruitt explained. "However, Fragrant Scent and Odor Control Solutions have become more popular. We found that people wanted a variety of fragrance products, such as candles and sprays. We also discovered that people were using our products to help with pet-related odors. This new demand helped us introduce a product line for pets, called Pet Super Odor Eliminator."
The Good Home Scents Web site offers visitors in-depth information on each product line, including the different fragrance choices and sizes. If consumers are interested in purchasing products, the "Find a Retailer" feature on the site provides a state-by-state retailer listing.
