It’s funny how nothing can sometimes amount to something. Encouraged by fellow University of Kansas alumni, MC White Knight released a few of his favorite recordings on the internet in February of 2009. Surprisingly, the oldest song that he wrote while in high school back in St. Louis found itself in the local top ten on Reverbnation.com. Now in his mid thirties and residing in Kansas City, encouraged if not stunned by the success of his songs on such a reputable artist web site, MC White Knight is back. With his college buds no longer laughing or ribbing, the now not so retired rapper is quietly planning a text message and Twitter onslaught set to go public on September 1st. Many in his circle believe that what he has planned could be so big that the explosion of publicity might land him on I-Tunes top 10 list by Labor Day. What makes the approach so unique is that the plan is quite simply, a grass roots effort. From various friends such as high executives at H&R Block headquarters to bartenders and patrons of Johnny's Tavern in Overland Park Kansas, text messages will be sent from hundreds of phones to thousands more encouraging people to buy the song 'How I Miss You' on I-Tunes or wherever they can download music. The text will also instruct the reader to forward the news along to their database of friends and so on and so on... The MC White Knight camp believes that if anything, this will create the buzz and exposure that any song needs to be successful. The only question that remains is, “Is this guy any good?”
MC White Knight's 'How I Miss You' is actually already available. It's just that nobody knows about it - yet. According to sources close to the artist, the song is so addictive that it won’t take much for it to catch fire. Fans, or in this case, curious music lovers, can go to a variety of music sources on the internet including; I-Tunes, Napster, E Music, and Amazon.com to purchase ‘How I Miss You’ now if they wish.
