Former Bahamian Diplomat, Winston D. Munnings, is also an avid flower photographer. One of his specialties is Orchids. Two of Munnings’ orchid shots, along with a brief biography and insight into his technique, were recently featured in the August 2009 edition of ORCHIDS Magazine, one of the leading international publications on Orchids.
The Monthly Bulletin is published by the American Orchid Society with headquarters in Delray Beach, Florida. "As a Photographer, this is quite an honor which I will cherish forever and a day" he continued.
A Native of Islands of The Bahamas, Winston studied Photography at the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale and the New York Institute of Photography. After almost two decades in the Diplomatic Service of The Bahamas, he retired as Consul General and currently shuttles between South Florida, Washington DC., and The Bahamas. Although he refers to himself as a Generalist, he has a passion and fondness for Flower Photography.... Orchids, in particular. Winston is also a former Television & Radio News Anchor, and former News Editor with the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas.
