Point Loma Outfitting unveiled the official BMW Oracle Racing Team Gear from SLAM on Thursday Night at a reception celebrating the 1st anniversary of their Liberty Station Store and an upcoming special event hosted by BMW Oracle Racing currently home ported in San Diego. The event was attended by several members of the BMW Oracle Racing Team who marveled at the fact Point Loma Outfitting is the only store outside of Europe who had any of the new BMW Oracle Racing Team gear.
The first 9 pieces of the new line offers men's and ladies team clothing. Currently Point Loma Outfitting has men's and ladies BMW Oracle Racing Team polo shirts, the popular BMW Oracle Racing Sailing Vest, the BMW Oracle Racing team sailing jacket for women, team hats and a really cool t-shirt with a graphic on the back of the shirt with the boat and the Golden Gate Bridge honoring the GCYC the supporting Yacht Club for the BMW Oracle Racing Team.
The new BMW Oracle Racing Gear will include a wide variety of foul weather gear, technical clothing and sportswear. Included will be a new Spray Top and Long Johns which SLAM has worked with BMW Oracle to come up with the new enhanced foul weather gear tested by Russell Coutts and his sailing team.

BMW ORACLE Racing will host a special event on Tuesday August 11 when the team is officially presented for the first time since becoming the Challenger for the 33rd America’s Cup.
The celebration of the American team will include a formal presentation of the team. Featured speakers include team owner Larry Ellison and legendary actor Harrison Ford.
Team members will meet and greet in the public area adjacent to the base behind the Convention Center in downtown San Diego. The public is encouraged to join the festivities which will include a free poster for the first 200 people. Team members will be available to answer questions and to sign posters.
Following a one hour ceremony, the team will depart the dock on board the BOR 90 giant multihull at 12:45pm.
Led by a dramatic spray of water from the San Diego Harbor Police boat, the full size replica of the schooner America will follow the BOR 90 and start a parade to Point Loma.
