The Local Landing
The Utah Music Festival is on its way to become Utah’s most exciting and entertaining music festival in the summer. It will feature ten of Utah’s top recording artists all day long on Saturday, August 29th in Ogden’s Historic District at the Ogden Amphitheater. Of these artists includes 5 hip hop artists, and 5 bands.
“Its a major celebration of music and also to celebrate the progress of the Utah Music scene” says Festival Co-Director Jared Christensen. “The talent is incomparable, and a free concert is always enjoyable on a sunny summer day!”
The artists and bands were just announced and they are Smash Brothers, Codi Jordan Band, Jebu, Soul Shakers Music, Winged Foot Entertainment, and more TBA.
“These artists put on such a great show! There was a good variety of styles of music with each artist being able to express themselves in such an awesome setting and in such a breathtaking manor. Just to see the sunset on 25th Street and to hear the echo of creativity bouncing off the charming downtown of Ogden was so inspiring to many!”
“Last year’s festival was a huge success in many regards. We are very excited to be able do this show again this year” says Festival Co-Director Jason Rodriguez. “We got a good audience turnout and some great support from a few local businesses last year, but this year is expected to have at least twice as much fan turnout because its a free show.”
“We have also made it very easy for local businesses to support this event and keep it happening with easily affordable and very valuable sponsorship ideas like vendor booths, flier distribution, intermission activity sponsorships, free give aways, door prizes, and more” says Festival Co-Director Jared Christensen.
“The Festival is designed to remind Utah of its own talent” says Jason Rodriguez. “We see Utah Artists all over national media and this is a chance to showcase ten of Utah’s Best, so don’t miss it! It’s free!”
