Aug. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- PerformanceX3 is pleased to announce we are opening another processing facility in New York.  “We anticipate being fully operational by the end of September” Mike Tardif President of Performance X3 said Monday. “We knew this day would come, we just didn’t think it would come so fast, with the way the economy is moving, we thought our business would slow down somewhat” Tardif said.
But it turned out to be quite the opposite, with the cost of new brake rotors and brake drums, along with that, pile on the cost of labor and changing brakes as often as municipalities were, it was quite a costly part of each department budget.  Budgets that were shrinking by the day.“Once we proved to the potential clients that our  Harmonic Balance process for rotors and drums would getting them very close to 3 times the use, or more, departments soon calculated the yearly cost savings and our business has taken off” Mike Tardif said.  Best of all, in police departments we have increased their officer’s safety.  Officers no longer have to worry about if their rotors will glaze over during a pursuit, they know when they apply pressure to the pedal, the car will still stop like it was suppose to.
Of course school buses never have to worry about high speed pursuits, but buses used in hilly areas also have a tendency, for their drums to overheat, and become glazed, causing the bus not to stop as soon as it used to.  With today’s technology you never have to worry about swerving when the bus brakes are applied, because of the ABS braking system.  With the Harmonic Balance process on drum school buses are able to stop quicker with less pressure to the pedal, and one of the terrific side effects of the Harmonic Balance process, is we just about eliminate all brake drum squeal.  “We have had many school departments send us drums, just to get rid of the noise, we never knew how much that bugs everyone” Tardif said.
The Harmonic Balance process enables the grain structure of rotors and drums to align itself much better than the original form, by doing that we greatly reduce the heat generated in a rotor or drum.  If you can reduce heat in a metal part, you can make them last much, much longer, Tardif also said.  Mike Tardif also said he anticipates another major announcement in the next few weeks regarding future plans of PerformanceX3, we feel this next announcement will really put us on the map and in the forefront of this technology for years to come.  “Like I said before, when another company in the cryogenic business decided to change their name to ours, it opened our minds and eyes, and since we changed our name from Thermal Balance Brakes to PerformanceX3, the sky has been the limit. “Tardif said.
