Debut of First Mondays Cocktails for Single Moms a Summer Success

Aug. 7, 2009 - PRLog -- The monthly kickoff of First Mondays Cocktails was held at Vintage Irving this Monday and was sponsored by New York City Single Mom.com. "It's a great way to relax and meet new people," said Linda Grant, founder/editor of the lifestyle website, "for August, the turnout is pretty amazing." The single moms in attendance sampled new and exotic drinks while enjoying some much-needed down time at the elegant yet cozy bar at Irving Place.

The cocktail event will be a monthly gathering, always held on the first Monday of the month.  "Until now, all interaction was online, but the sense of community at newyorkcitysinglemom.com is very strong, people have been asking to meet," explained Linda. Ms. Grant created the site in 2008 after failing to find an online forum that addressed the unique outlook of single moms in New York City. She quickly gained a nationwide, loyal following for her humor, candor and advice on everything from shopping, events and cost-saving tips to cool new products.
