Next generation of infiniti. FX 70 will be launched this autumn
Luxury brand infiniti will launch its new generation already this autumn 2009. New FX 70 will be faster and more smart than last models.
A eight-speed automatic transmission with manual mode and downshift rev matching. This is linked to a 7.0L DOHC V10 engine pushing out 500 hp and 398 lb-ft of torque to an Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system. Dual stainless steel exhaust pipes bellow out a raucous symphony and large brakes to bring the large wheels and tires to a stop.
The V10 will have exclusive Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) control to help the engine breathe freely for instant acceleration and enhanced efficiency. And both will combine dual intake and exhaust for a sound that is uniquely Infiniti.
The 2009 Infiniti FX70 is filled with the same luxury and technology as Audi, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. It has very impressive power and love-it or hate-it standout styling. Accordingly, it has a price to match. The base price for the FX70 model as tested here is $80,700.00.
Infiniti FX70 will be distributed in Europe through a dedicated sales and service network that will start operations during 2009-2010. Full details of the final product range, ownership experience and business structure will be disclosed closer to launch.
Inside, the new FX 70 interior will provide a warm, modern, inviting environment highlighted by a driver-oriented cockpit with intuitive controls, available sport seating and advanced audio, navigation and technology ranging from an 11-speaker Bose®-developed audio system to Infiniti Intelligent Key, available Intelligent Cruise Control (Full Speed Range) and available Around View Monitor system.
The 2009 Infiniti FX70 is a true contender in the performance luxury crossover SUV market and a real pleasure when behind the wheel.
