If one thinks of a human body as a house, then surely stem cell qualifies as being integral members of its repair and restoration crew. Diabetes which is one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality has no complete medical treatment. Stem cell therapy gives an option to improve the lifestyle for such patients.
Mr. Sanjay, who was 40 years, when he was diagnosed with Type II Diabetes. He used to take Insulin shots 10 Units per day. Although the patient monitored his blood glucose levels very diligently, he wanted to be completely cured of Diabetes. Sanjay, who had been an active athlete until the onset of Diabetes, felt the disease was having a serious impact on the quality of his life.

So in June 2009, Sanjay underwent Stem Cell Therapy. With the support of angiographic process, the concentrated stem cells were directly injected into the pancreas via a catheter.
However, the mandatory investigatory period for stem cell therapy is 3 months but in barely a month, he showed improvements in his insulin intake. His insulin level dropped from 10 units per day to 8 units per day. Now, he is on a balanced diet and basic medication. Sanjay’s Clinician says that he will soon be off insulin shots, if he maintains a regular balanced diet and exercise.
