NYC movers Shleppers Moving and Storage have announced that the company will boost its corporate social responsibility program to reach out to more charities. Under the program, Shleppers will provide assistance to different cause-oriented organizations by leveraging its infrastructure and core strengths in moving and storage.
Westchester Maccabi, a Jewish organization based in New York, will receive assistance from Shleppers when it holds the 2009 JCC Maccabi Games in August. The sports festival will feature over 1,400 Jewish athletes from across the United States, Canada, Israel, and South America. Shleppers is the official mover of the event, and will provide logistical support and manpower during the week-long festival.
Other charities and cause-oriented groups that are in line for the Shleppers CSR program include the Catholic Charities of Brooklyn and Queens, the Community Mayors Foundation, Bottomless Closet, and the Food Bank of New York. Shleppers is already scheduled to mobilize its vehicles and manpower to provide support for these organizations.
Also, under the new thrust of the Shleppers CSR program, these NYC movers will donate money to the Central Park Conservancy each time a customer submits a feedback letter through email or snail mail.
