Based on clinical studies, personal experience, insight from other nutritional supplement experts, and even the FDA, The Book of Supplement Secrets is not the typical nutritional supplement book. The book does not mention specific companies because the author, Tim Mielke, did not want to slander any specific supplement companies. The book does give the cold hard facts and let’s the consumer draw their own conclusions when purchasing their nutritional supplements.
When asked what sets his book apart from the many other supplement books out there, Mr. Mielke replied; “My book teaches consumers to read labels so they can find quality nutritional supplements on their own. I don’t endorse any particular product lines, because consumers should know how to find a quality product by themselves. There are plenty of supplements out there that work, you just need to know how much to take as well as how to take them.”
When asked what kind of secrets his book exposes, Mr. Mielke said; “Without giving away too much, there are different grades of whey proteins that are used in making protein powder. Companies can use the cheap ingredients in their protein powders, but then hide that fact by using impressive scientific jargon on the ingredient label.” This is just one of the many tricks that Mr. Mielke’s book sheds light on. Even though the subtitle of the book is ‘A Beginner’s Guide to Nutritional Supplements’
Tim Mielke, has spent more than half of his life in the nutritional supplement industry as a competitive bodybuilder, personal trainer, and supplement expert. Having worked for three major supplement companies over the course of his career, he has uncovered and learned many insightful tips that most supplement consumers are unaware of. These relatively unknown facts were the foundation of Mr. Mielke’s book.
The Book of Supplement Secrets, published in March of 2009, is available at both www.amazon.com and www.barnesandnoble.com. Mr. Mielke is currently an article contributor for www.i-supplements.com.
