By: Amy Boroff Hit the Greens on September 14th for the Junior Achievement of New Jersey Charity Golf Outing at the amazing 100+ year old Morris County Golf Club, 36 Punch Bowl Road, Morristown, NJ. In the spirit of the challenging economic times, JANJ merged two of their long-standing golf tournaments and is pleased that this newly titled golf event will take place at the Morris County Golf Club. The JANJ Annual Charity Golf Outing includes a BBQ lunch overlooking Morris County’s lush, 18-hole golf course; a casual cocktail reception; a line-up of quality auction items to bid on; and the very challenging and exciting Putting Contest for a finale. Of course with the all-star line up of sponsors (Accenture, ATC, BNY Mellon Wealth Management, Crowe Horwath, Deloitte and Touche, LLP, Ernst & Young and HSBC Insurance) participants will enjoy a great day of golf while networking and relaxing. The foursome participation fee is $2,000 with the individual golfer fee just $475 per person. Want to make some green? JANJ is launching their first ever non-event event. The JANJ Back-to-School Raffle Campaign is championed by both JANJ staff and Board Members alike. Beginning on August 6th, raffle tickets will be sold for $100 each and the winner of the raffle (announced on September 19th) will receive a $5,000 cash gift card. Raffle ticket sales are limited to 300 so that the odds are in participants’ Proceeds from both events will help sustain JA’s financial literacy-based programs that educate more than 31,000 of New Jersey’s youth each year, inspiring and motivating them to be career and workforce ready. JA’s activity-based, hands-on programs teach kids about credit, taxes, and managing checking and savings accounts, as well as entrepreneurship and the concept of jobs vs. careers.
