CONCORD, NH – Governor John Lynch and Ashoka’s Youth Venture® will celebrate New Hampshire’s young social entrepreneurs at Dinner on the Lawn: Get Social with Changemakers from 5-8 p.m. on August 21, 2009. The event will showcase youth in New Hampshire who are actively making positive social change in their community and local businesses that practice social responsibility.
Dinner on the Lawn will kick off with Governor Lynch addressing the audience on the importance of social entrepreneurship in New Hampshire. Through his words, Youth Venture hopes to inspire even more youth and New Hampshire residents to get involved and make a difference in their communities.
The evening will consist of live music from Brooks Young Band, lawn games, local food, and most importantly, the changemakers Youth Venture inspires and supports. These young leaders are taking initiative and creating real social change in the state by tackling important issues like climate change, poverty, education, and physical health. New Hampshire-based socially responsible businesses will also be setting up tables to display information about their organization and discuss their involvement in the social responsibility movement.
