Total sales for the current quarter were $7.94 million, down $224 thousand compared with total sales of $8.16 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2008. The decrease is primarily due to reductions in sales of Supplies and Systems that were down $285 thousand and $94 thousand, respectively. The decreases were partially off set by an increase in Maintenance sales of $155 thousand over the prior year. The Company reported a net loss for the quarter of $99 thousand or ($0.01) per share compared with a net loss of $188 thousand or ($0.01) per share, for the quarter ended June 30, 2008.

Marc Perkins, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company stated, “The System sales have remained strong due to the continued acceptance by the industry of our Champion technology. That acceptance has resulted in new orders for high-speed assembly systems and upgrades, resulting in a systems order backlog of $2.2 million at June 30, 2009 compared to a backlog of $8.2 million at June 30, 2008”. The systems order backlog grew to $2.6 million at July 31, 2009. Mr. Perkins added that “Although the current backlog is lower, the Company has ongoing negotiations that should result in additional orders.”
