Five Fifty Five reached ... And the High Five goes to...

It was a great finale to get to 555 recommendations, the Diningverse’s first and, therefore, the most important milestone yet.

The contest, announced on July 27, 2009, lasted only 9 days and concluded on August 4th by William N. Roemer posting the 555th recommendation. Diningverse patrons embraced the contest and total of 75 recommendations were posted during the contest.

"We were thrilled by the enthusiasm with which our patrons responded to the contest", said Chris Starr, business partner in charge of business development at Diningverse.

The contest winner, William N. Roemer ( http://diningverse.com/patrons/MrBill ) posted the 555th recommendation for Road Island Diner in Kamas, Utah ( http://diningverse.com/basic/3059 ). William posted 44 recommendations on Diningverse so far and there are no signs of him slowing down. "William is our first ... how do you call it ... Power Patron," said Chris Starr smiling. "The variety and geographic spread of his recommendations is incredible. It is worth while to read a few of them, they are truly very engaging and majority of them quite funny," Chris added.

William chose Susan's Place in Sutter Creek, CA, ( http://diningverse.com/basic/634 ) as the restaurant for which he will receive a $55 dining gift certificate.

As an unexpected spin, Diningverse decided to send a Little High Five to Linda Branch, who posted the 554th recommendation and a total of 30 recommendations. "We are going to send Linda a 'consolation prize' in the form of $20 dining gift certificate for a restaurant currently listed on Diningverse," noted Chris Starr.

Diningverse is planning to expand it's marketing efforts involving contest, sweepstakes and other types of competitions all intended to promote the local, independently owned restaurants listed on Diningverse.
