Chinowth & Cohen Realtors adds Architectural Class to Realtor Training

Tulsa Real Estate Company develops new 3 hour CE class on the topic of Architectural Styles

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRLog (Press Release) - Aug 04, 2009 -
Tulsa, OK---Chinowth & Cohen Realtors training department recently began offering an Architectural Styles class created by Director of Professional Development Cindy Manchester.   The class is designed to help Realtors discern the key elements of the most common architectural styles.  It has been approved by the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission for a 3 hour continuing education credit.

The class originated after Manchester, who is also the Broker Sales Manager of the South Tulsa office, began to notice how many listings in the Tulsa MLS system are incorrectly described or had “other” to describe the architectural style.  Increasingly, she encountered questions from Associates needing help in describing the style of home they were marketing.   “Homes aren’t one-size-fits-all,” Manchester commented. “Tulsa has an eclectic mix of architectural styles from deco to country French, offering a wide range of choices for the buyer.  Often the styles were influenced from other parts of the country.  Because our city was developed in the early 1900’s and many of the midtown homes were built in the early 20’s, Tulsa has more Art Deco, Mediterranean and Ranch styles in those areas.”

The class utilizes videos of architectural styles to visualize and study key elements, design, year built and location of home. All of which help realtors better understand how to market the listing on MLS and websites and provide a more accurate pricing strategy for the listing. Education on the architectural style also helps buyers in choosing a home.

As the Director of Professional Development at Chinowth & Cohen Realtors, Cindy Manchester, designs and facilitates the majority of CE classes and the Post license course for the company.  “Cindy is always looking for new topics or ways to improve training of traditional topics.  I feel it is imperative that everyone, especially realtors, continue to educate themselves to stay ahead of the market, to set themselves apart from the traditional realtor,” said Sheryl Chinowth, CEO of Chinowth & Cohen Realtors.  “Chinowth & Cohen’s success is having agents with professionalism and a high level of education.”

Licensed realtors interested in learning more about this and any of C&C classes should contact Cindy Manchester at 918 392-9765.
