The exhibition shows the works of over 50 comic artists who have participated in a fictional intergalactic Miss Election and will be opened until September 24.
An email to made@toonsUp.com is required to gain free admission.
You will find more than 60 original prints of outer space pin-up girls from all over the galaxy. There's a number of references to pop culture and SciFi movies — from Star Wars and Terminator to Perry Rhodan. Even a galactic dominatrix and the late Michael Jackson are among the contestants, while it is rumoured that the latter was from another dimension.
It's an exciting mixture of different styles and approaches, reaching from cartoon characters to fantasy art and fancy manga beauties.
The artists themselves come from all different areas. There's the professional adult comic artist from New York as well as the hobby cartoonist from Bavaria.
Many of the represented artists are on the spot to answer your questions.
Besides the live election of the Miss Alien 2009, brave visitors can get their picture taken with the Miss Alien contestants.
Also, they can take part in the big guessing game where it comes to identifying well-known aliens. As a prize one can win samples of space food from another world.
The supporting music for the exhibition will be a playlist of themes from Captain Future to Star Wars.
