Atlanta, August 3 -- RealView TV won two “eduStyle Higher-ed Web Awards” for its recent work with American University (AU). The Atlanta-based company's AU "Virtual Campus Tour" landed both teh Judges' Award & Peoples' Choice Award for Best Use of Interactive Media.
EduStyle, a Web design company dedicated to higher education websites, held the annual awards ceremony at the eduWeb Conference in Chicago on July 21.
The conference is internationally regarded by the higher education community, whom converge to pioneer solutions for expanding online presence within the industry.
"These awards are significant because they bring us great national recognition among higher education audiences," said Teresa Flannery, AU's executive director of University Communications and Marketing. "EduStyle is an organization that focuses exclusively on the higher education Web environment, and they are tough to impress. It takes a thick skin to put your institution out there for an expert review and comments from peers."
For Realview TV, which has greatly expanded its presence within the education industry since 2007, the awards signify growing demand for its unique interactive video features, such as the Virtual Campus Tour. Earlier this year, client Agnes Scott College’s virtual tour received plaudits, while Realview TV was selected as the “country’s number one virtual tour” in CASE Current’s magazine.

The “virtual campus tour,” featuring a section dedicated to current students, is designed to give a detailed insight into college life without physically touring the campus. American University is one of several educational institutions in recent months to have benefitted from this feature.

News of the awards came conjunctively with Realview TV presenting at the prestigious Noel Levitz Student Marketing Show in San Antonio, Texas. CEO Jonathan Clues demonstrated the “50 best practices for creating an effective online video tour experience” to a full house.
