The Handy Cooler™
The Handy Cooler™ ( http://www.myhandycooler.com ) was developed on the drawing boards in 2007 by Standard Merit Research. The goal was to create a convenient and portable fan that was not only compact, but also able to cool the temperature more than your conventional fan.
The company has created various prototypes and finally created The Handy Cooler™ which is now available for purchase online.
This hand held swamp cooling fan works by forcing air through a large surface area of a wet sponge which cools down the air due to the evaporation. Cool air is then directed out of the adjustable output vent that can reduce temperatures by up to 30F.
The unit comes in different colors, can be battery powered and can be used in a variety of different situations included at home, the office, camping and for hot flashes amongst others.
