Jude Southerland Kessler -author 'Shoulda Been There'
International Beatles Freak Day (I-BFD) is proud to announce that they have named Jude Southerland Kessler as their Artist of the Month for her continued contributions to fans of the Beatles through her writing. Ms. Kessler’s book ‘Shoulda Been There’ - the first in a five book series is a historical novel about the life of John Lennon. She has spent the past 20 years and made seven trips to Liverpool to do research for “Shoulda Been There. Her second book, ‘Shivering Inside’ is due to be published in October 2010.
When asked how it feels to be named Artist of the Month, Ms. Kessler replied, “Just over two years ago, I was mired in research – stacks of books, photos from Liverpool, interview notes, and an almost-impossible dream that I could turn John’s authentic story into a novel…toppled only by the even wilder dream that I could get the book noticed and read. To now be honored this month as the I-BFD Artist of the Month for Shoulda Been There is an incredible dream come true! It’s a “pinch yourself” moment. It’s worth the twenty years it took to get here. Thank you.”
Jude recently was a guest expert on the BBC 5 Live radio show ‘Up All Night’ and is a frequent guest speaker at The Fest for Beatles Fans in New York and Chicago.
