Global Aviation Services Co. W.L.L (GAS), the Bahraini based and Middle East leading aviation materials supply solutions and services company has announced achieving the latest certification standard of the International Organization for Standardization ISO 9001:2008 certification, which is the revision following the previous version ISO 9001:2000.
On the occasion, Mr. Maurice Holmes, Vice President – Procurement & Logistics and Quality Management Representative at Global Aviation Services said, “It is with a sense of gratification that we receive the certification for ISO 9001:2008. Global Aviation Services’ management is committed to a total Quality Management System. Together with the dedication and efforts of the entire staff, we developed and implemented quality processes that confirm completely to the strict requirements of the latest and most comprehensive ISO standard, 9001:2008. This certification serves as a testimony to that commitment as much as it does to Global Aviation Services’ commitment to only quality standards that best meet the customers’ needs and the aviation industry’s requirements. The scope of the certification covers Global Aviation Services main line of services being the supply and distribution of aviation parts, components and materials and repair services. With this Global Aviation Services becomes one of the first aviation services company in the region to achieve the latest certification ISO 9001:2008 standard which supersedes the previous standard ISO 9001:2000.
Quality and safety standards are a fundamental and integral part of the aviation industry and therefore it is imperative that any entity working in the industry must be certified by internationally recognized and approved standard agencies. Therefore, with this certification Global Aviation Services reaffirms its position and as an internationally certified regional vendor of aviation parts, components, materials and repair services, demonstrating its commitment to the aviation industry.
