Allied Logistics, Inc. has agreed to be a participating sponsor of the Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC) Riverboat Cruise.
The cruise is the kickoff for the Minority Business Enterprise Input Committee (MBEIC) regional conference. The riverboat cruise on the beautiful Stone Mountain Lake is billed as the number one networking event hosted by the MBEIC. The activities and boat layout are specifically designed for networking and relationship building.
The regional conference culminates the two day event. Participants at the conference learn about contract procurement, corporate procurement trends and benchmarking. The conference features breakout sessions lead by industry group corporate buyers. An additional feature of the conference is the MBE showcase.
The riverboat cruise will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2009 and the conference the following day, August 21st.
This is our first year of sponsorship noted Milton Kirby, president of Allied Logistics. We have heard that a lot good relationships and opportunities have developed as result of MBE's participating in past riverboat cruises and we wanted to be a part of this great event. The GMSDC and it’s activities is one of the premier gateways to corporate business opportunity. "We have committed our participation for 2009 in both the cruise and the conference on Friday,” Kirby said.
