Aug. 1, 2009 - PRLog -- Cyprus Bridge to Middle East Opens in Lebanon

A new project to connect Cyprus to the oil rich countries of the Middle East  is gaining support prior to its opening in Beirut scheduled for Mid-August, 2009.

Promoters have billed the project as the Cyprus Investment Festival, organized through the Cyprus Property Exhibition Centre by Beirut based World Class Group.

“We are creating a trade and investment bridge from Cyprus to the Middle East, and launching our project in Beirut, during the busy summer season to attract visiting residents who are vacationing in Beirut, and promoting short inspection trips ” said Michael  J. Tolan, CEO of the marketing and communications consultancy group. We will attract UAE residents, GCC, Iraqi and Iranian investors who seek a life boat investment opportunity in Cyprus.

“We have assembled participating partners such as key developers to showcase Cyprus, and are highlighting the new amendment in the law which allows for a Non-European to apply for  ‘Permanent Residency Visa’ status in Cyprus,” he added.
World Class Group has coordinated with Cyprus based My Property Cyprus to showcase investment opportunities once the investors are in Cyprus.

Beirut, a favorite playground for wealthy Arab families, is only a 25 minute flight from Larnaca, making the excursion to visit Cyprus for investment offers.

Andros Andronicou, Sales and Marketing Director of Larnaca based Iacovou Brothers Development Ltd believes that the Middle East is the new frontier for Cyprus investment for years to come.

“Developers must invest to be proactive, and to not sit around and hope things will just get better. We can no longer ignore this affluent market” he said. “The Cyprus Property Exhibition is one effective method for us to enter this lucrative market who will appreciate the quality projects in our portfolio”

“The new ‘Open Doors’ policy that allows investors to obtain Permanent Visas will also motivate many whose nationality limits their freedom of travel and indeed  their lifestyle,” according to Andros Andronicou of Iacovou Brothers Development in Cyprus.

The three week campaign to attract both Lebanese and Arab nationals begins on the 10th of August in downtown Beirut. Investors will be lured by the safety and security of the European Community Gateway which is on their doorstep, a comforting investment to many who are all to aware of potential instability in the region.
