The Spanish Novelist Martin Cid and the painter Romeo Niram debate on Impressionism

PR Log (Press Release) – Jul 31, 2009 – Martín Cid, Spanish novelist and director of the Fine Arts Magazine Yareah, the artist Romeo Niram, the art historian Isabel del Río and the Spanish painter Jaime Hernández de la Torre will participate  at the debate regarding the impressionist artists Auguste Renoir and Nicolae Grigorescu.

At the end of the meeting, Isabel del Río, arts director on Yareah magazine, will exhibit paintings inspired by the Martin Cid's last novel “Mihai Eminescu’s Seven Sins”.

The great Romanian poet, Mihai Eminescu (1850-1889), finished his days in a hospital. He had psychological problems, perhaps a depression, and doctors injected him mercury. In that romantic and extreme atmosphere, the phantoms of other previous or future writers: Cervantes, Joyce, Borges, Calderón, Holderlin or the mystic nun Teresa de Jesús enter in their nightmares to built or destroy his life, a life which belonged to Art and Literature.
“Mihai Eminescu’s Seven Sins” is a poetic and plastic novel which inspires Isabel del Rio several paintings that everybody can see these days (August/2009) in Madrid, Espacio Niram (C/Independencia, 2).
