July 31, 2009 - PRLog -- "Stonehurst Place is a feast for the eyes and soul, with beauty and comfort everywhere we looked.  We warmed ourselves by the fire and went to sleep between luxurious sheets on a mattress that felt incredible.  I wanted to stay forever.”

TripAdvisor-branded sites make up the largest and most popular travel community in the world with more than 10 million registered users, and attract greater than 31 million monthly visitors.

In addition to being named a “Hidden Gem” on TripAdvisor, Stonehurst Place has received recognition from various organizations, including DailyCandy.com, CH46 CBS Atlanta, WSB-TV and Southface, for its luxurious and environmentally friendly accommodations which indulge guests in exquisite surroundings.

“It’s just thrilling to hear those kinds of reviews from our guests,” said owner Barb Shadomy after learning the news.  “We continually strive to make sure our guests enjoy the very finest pampering retreats and that each stay feels special.”

Stonehurst Place proudly showcases original pieces of work from several artists including Andy Warhol, Dale Chihuly, Candida Hoefer and others as well as an original Ray Eames lounge chair and ottoman and a cabinet filled with vintage Hermes handbags.  Each of the three suites and two rooms with private baths at Stonehurst Place are designed to let the guests be enveloped in luxurious comfort while enjoying state of the art amenities.

Stonehurst Place, originally built in 1896, features a Solar Thermal system that heats water used throughout the home.  Ten solar panels on the roof supply heat to three 105-gallon hot water storage tanks in the basement.  Rainwater is collected into two 1700-gallon cisterns as an environmentally conscious solution to irrigate the property’s landscaping.  Stonehurst Place is proud to do its part to help the environment and uses organic products in the specially prepared breakfasts served to guests.
