Cuyahoga Falls, OH: Swing your partner to and fro…it’s time to celebrate in grand style! Camp Bow Wow Cuyahoga Falls invites friends and neighbors to join them for a tail-waggin’
Camp owners and leaders of the pack, Mike and Virginia Paquette are celebrating the opening of their canine retreat country-style with lots of fun and special guests. Joel Silverman, host of Animal Planet’s, “GOOD DOG U” and his faithful co-star Foster, an animal actor, will be the honorary Top Dogs for the day. The duo is currently on a 90-city tour to promote Silverman’s new book, What Color is Your Dog? Silverman will answer questions and sign copies of his book. Foster will assist him in demonstrations during the day.
“We’re very excited to welcome Joel Silverman and Foster to Camp Bow Wow Cuyahoga Falls,” said Mike Paquette. “Their appearance is a real campfire treat! He’s built his career as an animal trainer by working with every creature he’s trained as a unique individual. At Camp Bow Wow, we share his philosophy and have built our program on that foundation. For us it’s all about the dogs: their good health and happiness. It’s our business to get to know our fur-footed campers as the individuals they are.”
Guests at the Camp Hoedown can talk with puppy portrait artist Sylvart Pet Session; meet the vets from Banfield Pet Hospital; watch agility demonstrations coordinated by WAGS K-9 University and the Cuyahoga Falls Police Department K9 Unit; shop for the latest in canine couture from Akron Dog Stuff; and learn more about Hidden Fencing from the folks at Dog Watch-Hidden Fence company. Puppy parents can also tour the Camp and register for door prizes while their children enjoy doggy art activities and their pups participate in hound-oriented games. Hungry humans can satisfy their cravings with Hoedown snacks, like popcorn, cookies and specialty sandwiches. For those looking for the perfect pup-mate, Paws N’ Prayers and Red Cross Rescue will be on hand with dogs needing fur-ever homes. Sue Wilson from 94.9 WQMX will broadcast live from the festivities from 11am to 1pm.
“Our Camp opening wouldn’t be complete without dogs,” said Virginia Paquette, “so bring your pup even if he hasn’t had his Camp Bow Wow interview yet. You’ll just have to keep him leashed during the festivities. We’ll have plenty of counselors on hand to watch leashed pups while their parents tour our facilities. Pups which have passed a Camp Bow Wow interview will be welcome to romp in the play yards during the event.”
