The Louisville Bar Association, Fayette County Bar Association and the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) -Kentucky Chapter are proud to announce the results of the 2009 Step Up For Kids’s Sake Shoe Drive benefiting Jefferson County Public Schools at a luncheon on Monday, August 3.
The Step Up For Kid’s Sake Shoe Drive was born from the ALA Community Challenge Weekend program, a program developed to encourage its members, firms, vendors and other volunteers to contribute their time, energy and resources toward the improvement of their own communities. The luncheon will feature Linda Johnson, Director of the JCPS Basics for Kids; Myrdin Thompson, 15th District PTA President; Paula Wolf, Clothing Assistance Director; and Sharon Whitworth, manager of the Clothing Assistance Program. All donations made to the Step Up For Kid’s Sake Shoe Drive will be delivered to the 15th District PTA Clothing Assistance Program.
The luncheon will begin promptly at 12 p.m. in the Louisville Bar Center located at 600 W. Main St., Suite 110. If you are interested in participating in future shoe drive events, or to receive additional information, contact Lana S. McGinnis, ALA president, by calling (859) 255-8581.
