Those taking a break in London this September will have the chance to attend one of the city's most unusual festivals.
Kicking off on September 4th, Pestival London is a celebration of insects and art, with visitors encouraged to appreciate creepy crawlies rather than fear them.
The family friendly three-day event takes place at the South Bank Centre, which is within easy
reach of most London hotels (http://www.hotels-
The first Pestival festival took place in 2006 and has since gone from strength to strength, drawing thousands of visitors from across the UK and encouraging greater insect-human contact through the use of art, music and comedy.
Visitors can see things from an insect's point of view by visiting the giant Termite Pavilion and taking a stroll around, or take a ride in the BeeCab and see a working beehive up close.
Other highlights include the Urban Insect Garden, which is located on the Clore Ballroom Balcony.
Families visiting the garden can pick up some top tips from the experts and learn how to create their own bug garden at home.
In addition, several music performances are scheduled to take place over the course of the event, as well as exciting interactive workshops and street markets.
