– Being a young driver is excited. You have the freedom to travel around town with your friends wherever and whenever you want. You don’t have to rely on your parents or others to pick you up or give you rides. But being a young driver does have some limitations. Because you are young and have little driving experience compared to most adults, insurance agents don’t believe you are a good driver and are a high risk for accidents. So when you are out on your motorcycle joy riding, keep in mind its your responsibility to be safe, it will keep your insurance rates at the lowest they can be.
http://www.insuranceagents.com/affordable-motorcycle.htmlIn an article recently posted by InsuranceAgents.com, “Find Affordable Motorcycle Insurance for Young Drivers,” most young drivers end up paying too much for their motorcycle premiums. “Agents give the lower motorcycle insurance premiums to who they consider to be low-risk drivers. That includes motorists who are both older and have more years of experience riding a motorcycle,”
states the article, “How can you blame them? They have cold, hard statistics on their side, which show young motorists are more likely to get into a motorcycle accident.” But just because you are a young driver and have statistics working against you, there are things you can do to ensure you are getting the lowest possible rate for your motorcycle insurance.
Keeping your driving record clean is the number one step to saving money on your motorcycle premium. If you avoid accidents and traffic violations, your driving record will remain clean and you will be considered a low risk driver, no matter how old you are. If you are in school, keeping a B average on your report card could also save you money on your premium. All you have to do is ask your insurance agent about the good grades discount and show them your report card at the end of every term.
