Crittenden Regional Hospital is a 152 bed facility with 550 full-time employees. Its Intranet was named best from more than 135 submissions for the prestigious award. Crittenden previously had no Intranet before selecting HospitalPortal.NET to develop its portal in 2007.

“Before HospitalPortal installed our Intranet, our policies and procedures were contained in 30 five-inch binders that had to be updated every year,” Winter said. “Now our Intranet helped us get rid of all this paperwork so this is major for us.”
Winter said that Crittenden Regional’s Intranet has been especially helpful for communicating with 100 hospital employees who work off campus in clinics or home health care, and with physicians who can access their call schedules.
“We don’t have to type up schedules and fax them to all our units,” Winter said.
The criteria for the Diamond Award include measurable values to the hospital, a high standard of quality and cost effectiveness. In its entry, the hospital stated that http://HospitalPortal.NET 's Intranet enabled it to reach all of its employees with “the stroke of a few keys and with the ever-changing pages, the interest level continues to grow by leaps and bounds.”
