Mail Online hit their record figure of 29,373,379 unique visitors following an increase of over 4.7 million on the previous month according to the latest figures from the Audit Bureau of Circulations Electronic (ABCe). This 19% jump enabled the site to move ahead two places, overtaking the Guardian (28,966,942)
Commenting on the results Martin Clarke, Mail Online publisher said "Obviously we are delighted to have regained the number one spot in terms of monthly unique visitors and we are particularly pleased with the increase in UK traffic. This is the result of steady and consistent growth since the redesign of our site in May 2008."
Intellitracker provide detailed content and visitor analytics to Mail Online, helping them to better understand their visitor’s website behaviour and highlight strengths and weaknesses. This enables the online publication to understand content usage, automate processes and improve their offering.
David Hudson, Sales & Marketing Director of Intellitracker commented “We are thrilled that Mail Online has achieved the number one spot. Exceeding 29 million unique users in June is a result of our client’s efforts to deliver a site that their users enjoy visiting. We are proud to have been involved in helping them to achieve this milestone.”
