It is an easy panic treatment to use because it breaks a big problem down into tiny manageable bits that anyone can master. A variation of CBT is Cognitive Behavior Modification (CBM) which focuses on the negative effects of talking to yourself in a negative way which then affects your entire outlook on life and thus behavior. If you continue with an irrational negative outlook on life, it makes it very difficult for panic disorder sufferers to recover. However, if you can learn that your emotions, rather than your logic, are overwhelming your behavior, you have the opportunity of escaping the negative cycle of panic and anxiety disorder.
