Business Continuity Middle East – NGO in July 2009 has celebrated it first anniversary and is glad to announce that it has officially began operating in the Middle East under the Lebanese chapter “Safe Lebanon”.
Located in Lebanon and Keeping an eye on the rest of the Middle East.
The Association of Business Continuity Middle East is formed under the license of the Lebanese Ministry of interior under notice n# 712.
Our Main Focus is to build a disaster resilient community by promoting increased awareness of the importance of disaster reduction and Business Continuity with the goal of reducing human, social, economic and environmental losses.
Our Objectives:
1- Expand public awareness about the Disasters (Natural, Operational, Health,
And Security) and know-how of its management at both the national and regional
levels in governmental and private bodies/firms, in decision-making centers, as well
as in NGOs and civil societies through conferences, seminars, publications, etc…
2- Establish, nationally and regionally, a consultation and communication network
within the framework of a governing organizational secretariat which study the
assumptions and put the remedial programmes, and constitute effective and
influential groups within its geographical scope.
3- Execute training courses in institutions, organizations and volunteering groups,
on the management, mitigation and the business continuity and Disaster Reduction.
4- Propose a draft framework tackling (Kyoto Framework and the Business Continuity Standard) both the public and private sectors around the prevention steps to be taken versus the possible risks, dealing with the business continuity and its management.
