POSH nosh is being served up for discerning lunch-time diners at the Dylan Thomas Centre at prices that won't break the bank.
Head chef Gabrielle Caruso has devised a new summer menu for the Maritime Quarter attraction that combines traditional favourites such as steak, burgers and scampi with more high-brow dishes such as Welsh rarebit, vegetable enchilada and smoked haddock gratin.
Jonathan Player, Swansea Council's Dylan Thomas Centre Manager, said: "The menu will suit a wide variety of people who have differing tastes.
"Snacks such as jacket potatoes and paninis will be available in the bookshop café along with other traditional favourites and, for those who are after something a little bit different to tickle their taste buds, a range of alternative options is on hand.
"We hope hungry workers will pop in during their lunchtime breaks to discover what's available and we're more than happy for meals to be booked in advance."
The Dylan Thomas Centre bookshop café is open from 10am to 4.30pm and the fully licensed restaurant is open from noon to 2pm.
The attraction has a permanent exhibition on Dylan Thomas and his life as well as the cosy bookshop café that's stuffed with books, posters and memorabilia.
The Centre is also home to many literary events throughout the year, including the annual Dylan Thomas Festival in October and November.
