Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy (PCP) is a non governmental support organization comprising eminent citizens, civil society and corporate leaders working to expand the knowledge base and facilitate organised giving. As member of the Executive Board, Dr. Anjum R. Haque Executive Director, PCP participated in the meeting.
Project Proposals for sustaining Diaspora Philanthropy efforts for the Development of Communities of Origin in Asia had earlier been called in and PCP was successfully awarded a contract to prepare a database on diaspora philanthropy. The objective of the project is to fill the information gap between Diaspora organizations around the globe and the third sector in Pakistan by building an online resource of the Pakistani diaspora networks around the world and a database of the projects currently implemented by NPOs in Pakistan. The project out puts are to compile: Database of Diaspora Organization, Case Studies, Database of projects/ organization that can be supported by Diaspora communities and Database of Diaspora giver/facilitator at the giving end.
