July 29, 2009 - PRLog -- Panic Attack Treatment - If you're suffering from panic anxiety disorder, you may want to seek help from professionals. However, you can also make positive changes for yourself very quickly. It is possible to prescribe your own panic treatment in order to help you overcome your panic attacks without drug therapy.

Treatment 1: Avoid sources of negativity. We all tend to get a daily hit of negativity whether we like it or not. It's part of our routine and our society. What am I talking about?

TV news, radio news, radio phone-ins, talk shows, newspapers, internet. You name it. All the mass media channels focus on negative stuff that makes you anxious; war, crime, murders, natural disasters, air crashes, train crashes, people getting killed in freak accidents, economic problems, inflation, debt, falling standards etc. etc.

Then there is the beauty and slimming industry forcing it down your throat that you're not beautiful enough and you need to buy their product to make you beautiful. I say forget about it. Ignore it. Avoid it! They are just trying to sell you stuff you don't need. It's not you, it's just them!

Treatment 2: Panic disorder and panic attacks are based on the way you think about yourself. It is easy to be tough on yourself so learn to stop doing it. It only serves to put you down when the people around you aren't. Stop telling yourself negative stuff like your boring, dumb, useless, ugly etc.

Realize that other people don't really have it in for you. If people are being negative to you, it is them not you that makes them do it.

Treatment 3: Make sure you take regular exercise to give yourself a natural energy boost. Exercise releases endorphins which are 'pleasure chemicals', helping you relax and relieve tension. Exercise also gives you an opportunity to take your mind off things whilst you concentrate on pushing yourself that little harder. It also gives you a great sense of achievement which make you feel positive about yourself.

Treatment 4: Don't lock yourself in. Being stuck in allows you to dwell and fester on negativity which is what your panic anxiety disorder feeds on. When you're on your own, you can beat yourself up but when you are in other people's company, you just haven't got time so you tend to feel better about yourself. So go, get out there and get in the mix!

Treatment 5: Take regular breaks from your work. It is easy to work without taking a break but that is a really effective way of building up tension and anxiety. Make sure you take at least 15 minutes out ever one and a half to two hours. If you can, take ten minutes every hour to be more productive and less stressed. Ensure that you get yourself out of the office for lunch too not eating at your desk is a great panic cure.
