Expanding its reach to clients, Metabolic Research Center announces the Grand Opening of its 66th weight loss center on August 3. The new center is conveniently located 0.3 miles south of CO-119/Ken Pratt Blvd at 900 S. Main, Longmont, CO 80501.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “The rate of new cases of diabetes rose by more than 90% among adults over the last 10 years and two-thirds of Americans are considered to be overweight or obese.” Proudly, Colorado has had the nation's lowest percentage of obese adults since 1990 however 20% of the state still struggles with excessive weight gain.
Obesity can lead to Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, depression, blood clots, and several other major medical conditions. By combining one-on-one personalized counseling, nutritional guidance and behavioral modification, it is MRC's goal to reduce these medical risks by not only bringing clients weight down to a healthy target but also teaching the crucial components of healthy life management leading to long-term wellness.

Having licensed dieticians and nurses on staff, MRC is able to mold programs for those suffering from many health issues including diabetes, MS, Crohs Disease, and many more. Health is a top priority therefore doctor’s approval is sought before beginning certain programs for high risk patients.
