Metabolic Research Center, Longmont, CO FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PR Log (Press Release) –
Jul 28, 2009 – Expanding its reach to clients, Metabolic Research Center announces the Grand Opening of its 66th weight loss center on August 3. The new center is conveniently located 0.3 miles south of CO-119/Ken Pratt Blvd at 900 S. Main, Longmont, CO 80501.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “The rate of new cases of diabetes rose by more than 90% among adults over the last 10 years and two-thirds of Americans are considered to be overweight or obese.” Proudly, Colorado has had the nation's lowest percentage of obese adults since 1990 however 20% of the state still struggles with excessive weight gain. Obesity can lead to Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, asthma, depression, blood clots, and several other major medical conditions. By combining one-on-one personalized counseling, nutritional guidance and behavioral modification, it is MRC's goal to reduce these medical risks by not only bringing clients weight down to a healthy target but also teaching the crucial components of healthy life management leading to long-term wellness. “Metabolic Research Center doesn’t offer a rapid weight loss quick fix. What we offer is the key to a renewed life; weight loss that stays off!” says dietician and certified personal trainer, Jaclyn Alkhatib. A scientific and emotional understanding of the complexity and root causes of disordered eating and recurring weight gain is what makes the Metabolic Research Center program so unique. Utilizing programs designed by the nation’s foremost experts in the field of weight loss, the MRC team has proudly been helping clients reach and maintain their weight loss goals for over 20 years. Having licensed dieticians and nurses on staff, MRC is able to mold programs for those suffering from many health issues including diabetes, MS, Crohs Disease, and many more. Health is a top priority therefore doctor’s approval is sought before beginning certain programs for high risk patients. Hours of operation for the Longmont center are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, visit our Metabolic Research Center website at www.emetabolic.com, or call 303-776-2222.
