Fastbreak Basketball Academy will seek to teach and bring the fundamentals of basketball back to the grassroots of the sport by providing players of all ages and abilities with a structured development program.
Fastbreak Basketball Academy is lead by Leigh Gayden, Founder and President. Leigh brings experience and leadership to the program, including collegiate and professional playing experience. "I am very excited about the potential of Fastbreak Basketball Academy," and believe that parents and aspiring youth players will be impressed with the programs offered.
"The major focus of Fastbreak Basketball Academy is to integrate individual skill development and also place all players into competitive play environments appropriate for their development stage," explains Gayden. "Today players spend large amounts of time learning team systems and playing games...while playing games is important to a player's development, it is often so over-emphasized that competition comes at the expense of quality practice and training needed to help the player perform at his or her best."
