PML now offers an aftermarket differential cover for front and rear end Dana 44 differentials. Like the stock cover, the design follows the same shape. Unlike the stock cover, this aftermarket covers features a classic straight fin design, sand cast aluminum construction with thick walls and flanges, and a drain hole with magnetic drain plug. Jeep and Ford have used the Dana 44 differential since 1940s and this differential is also popular on custom built vehicles.
In this aftermarket cover, the thick walls add strength to the differential housing. The thick gasket flange provides for a secure, leak-free seal. The aluminum material and the fins allow for heat dissipation to transfer heat out of the differential fluid.
The Dana 44 differential has many applications in 1940s to 1980s vehicles. For example, this differential cover will fit the front end on 1960s and 70s Ford F100, F250, and F350, the front end on 1970s and 80s Jeep Wagoneer and Cherokee, and the rear end on 1940s to 70s Jeep CJ and some Jaguars.
The cover has a drain hole for less messy fluid changes and a magnetic drain plug to collect any metal bits, keeping the differential fluid cleaner. There is also a level check hole.
Made in the USA.
PML offers this differential cover in three finishes: cast aluminum, black powder coat with shaved fins, and polished. The PML part number is 11069. Pictures and dimensions are available on our webpage: http://www.yourcovers.com/
