BARCELONA (SPAIN), July 26th 2009 – One of world’s most dangerous criminals has escaped and is causing a lot of disorder in Barcelona. He is earning great amounts of money by committing crimes in the city. The local police has created a special police force and is asking civilians to join and eliminate this gangster.
   
THE TARGET
Last week GPS Citygames played the first games of the exciting gangster game The Target in Barcelona. The game is played in 4 teams, each holding a GPS receiver that’s in connection with the internet to make the game interactive. The gangster has to collect € 1.000.000,- by picking up weapons in the city and committing crimes. The other 3 teams have to cooperate as good as they can as being a member of a special police force to prevent this.
   
DISCOVER BARCELONA IN A DIFFERENT WAY
The games are a great possibility for companies and tourists to experience the city in a different way and at the same time it’s a nice teambuilding event. The bicycle and bus tours are well known as an experience in Barcelona, but in the old city streets there are only few walking around with a GPS receiver. This citygame combines a game with GPS and you’ll visit alleys you normally don’t see as a visitor of Barcelona.

Through the internet he came in contact with a Belgian software developer for citygames and he became enthusiastic.
