Kalisha Ruffin has been deemed as one of very few African American Millionaires under the age of thirty:
Many of you know the regionally famous Kalisha Ruffin; the Kalisha Ruffin that donated over six-hundred thousand dollars to several none profit organizations according to her 2008 federal tax returns.
But here is something that you probably didn’t know: Mrs. Ruffin has been deemed one of very few African-American Millionaires in the Continental United States under the age of thirty; according to a private financial study – based out of the University of Michigan Accounting Department.
After several private financial firms and certified public accountants reviewed Mrs. Ruffin annual debt to income ratio – it has been determined that she has a net worth currently around 300 Million dollars.
That is almost 350 times the annual house hold income – but I guess this is quite understandable giving the circumstances that she is the founder and C.E.O of several (13 to be exact) corporations.
When the associated press contacted Mrs. Ruffin families Public Relation Officer: Cindy Malidorski – we received the following response:
“While Mrs. Ruffin and her family are obviously wealthy – we do not believe that it is in the best interest of her children, nor immediate family members for the exact net worth of she and her husband’s combined income to be released to the general public. However, we would like to thank the many professionals and students of the University of Michigan – for acknowledging all of Mrs. Ruffin hard work and dedication.”
Obviously wealthy is an understatement;
Just to give you a picture of how rich this young businesswoman and philanthropist is; we would like to state that when the AP pulled tax information on Mr. and Mrs. Ruffin home in West Bloomfield, Twp., it showed an astounding summer tax – not in default to be received by the city in the amount of: Fifty-Thousand Eight Hundred Dollars.
I guess that would make since giving the fact that the home was built and sold in 2007 for a whopping: $17,000,000.00 (Seventeen Million Dollars).
Not to mention the cars that the family have; Mrs. Ruffin was spotted at the Somerset Collection of Troy; receiving valet parking in a vehicle later identified as a 2010 BMW 760li.
Moments later we captured Mrs. Ruffin mother and father arriving in a 2009 Lexus LS460.
But there’s more – before Mrs. Ruffin security removed our reporters from the property we estimate that she is storing at least 25-30 cars in her 40 car parking garage (verified with the city of West Bloomfield, Twp., building department.)
This is what one neighbor had to say:
“I see she and her husband drive a different car everyday – to the point I have made a chart of how many they have and thus far I have not finish recording. It’s absolutely amazing – the couple is so young yet prosperous; and I am a Medical Doctor and I don’t live like that.”

We had the chance to speak with several of Mrs. Ruffin sorority sister’s at a Greek – life party in Ann Arbor, MI – this is what the group collectively had to say:
“Kalisha is definitely not your average girl; anybody that can donate 3M to the Good Will Foundation in any given day; and then turn around and go buy Gucci, Prada, and Cartier – is definitely not your typical business woman – she is blessed, loved, and favored; and not to mention she has beautiful family – consisting of her immediate maternal and fraternal family – extending to her stunning husband.”
In closing, we see why Mr. and Mrs. Ruffin have been inducted into the financial hall-of-fame;
I have had the honor to meet with Mrs. Ruffin on several occasions; all in which she was just so vibrant and full of life. I would extend favor to her on any day – be it tomorrow or next week; we here at the AP has and will always continue to stand by her – until she make’s world history, which I am sure will not be very long.
