July 25, 2009 - PRLog -- There is good news for those of us who have decided to invest our time in the creation of a forum. We can now place a convenient forum avatar on One Million Forums Profiles to attract new meat.

It is perhaps a use that the original owner and mastermind, Miguel Fernandez, had not intended, but it is a great bonus. Using his new website forum, owners can now place an avatar from their own forum, or another, onto his page. This allows for easy access for anyone searching for you, or what you have to offer.

It's an idea that has really taken off in the land of forum owners such as myself. Because signature links to other forums are often removed, and sometimes are enough to have you banned on other sites, a profile somewhere else is often the only alternative. But instead of staying there, you can add the profile to One Million Forums Profiles ( http://1mfp.com ), and wait for people to find you.

Already there are various well known forums in the scroll down list, such as Digital Point. As profiles can be viewed without membership, this is a great place to link to. But as the site grows, so do the forums listed, giving even wider access to an idea that has generated a great deal of interest since it's birth just a few months ago.

“I just wanted to create something that was functional, but also easy to use,” Fernandez, who goes by the name Mike30 on his own forum, explained.

“People waste so much time and energy trying to sell their avatars within busy forums, or to connect with people on different ones. I figured that there had to be a better way, and this was it. “

It is surprisingly easy to use. All you do it go to the homepage, click to add an avatar, and follow the instructions from there. All the process really takes is scrolling down the provided list of forums, selecting the one you wish to you, and putting in the digits of your member ID on that profile. This can be found at the end of the URL when you visit your profile page at any forum.

From there your avatar should pop up on the screen to show that the process has worked, and you will be given the option of payment if you want to keep your avatar within the top profiles in the page. The avatar will be hosted for as long as you like it to be, which is great for anyone who is looking to use this brilliant idea to give other access to their forum or site links. You can also change the image/picture  easily enough, if you are looking to sell your avatar space, and find a buyer.

It is a simple site, a simple design, and a simple idea. But it gets the job done, and has offered people like me the chance to do something great, without having to throw money hand over first to a marketer.
