Sunshine King, the founder and CEO of Sunshine Models on Wheels and the first-ever model with a disability to participate in Baltimore’s illustrious Fashion Week is working with the League’s Vocational Services participants in an effort to support their desire to secure jobs in this extremely difficult economy. The “Dress for Success” fashion show will highlight the program’s existing emphasis on job readiness and interview preparation. “Looking the part and feeling good about yourself is an important aspect of making a positive impression on a prospective employer,” says League CEO, David Greenberg.
According to Ms. King, “It is a great opportunity to be able to consult the clients at the League. Working with this wonderful group made my mission for my organization more powerful and humble. Self esteem building, having Faith within, having clarity in who you are as a person, bringing out the Joy within yourself and mostly out in others is what Sunshine Models On Wheels is all about for all people.”
