Lantana, Fla: The IHPA is pleased to announce that it will conduct its August Meeting at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside on August 21, 2009. The event will feature a General Membership Meeting with Guest Speaker and Luncheon and Panel Discussions featuring hurricane protection professionals in the fields of building code administration, engineering, manufacturing and supply, contracting and wind mitigation inspections.
Guest speaker: Norman Morris, CAE – Senior VP, Louisiana Realtors - Topic: "The Commission to Insure Louisiana".
The meeting agenda includes a presentation by IHPA President, Thomas Johnston, on the new IHPA “Get the Number” Campaign. This campaign carries a very simple message to the consumer: When considering a hurricane protection product to fortify your home – Insist upon a product approval number!
