The American Board of Phlebology has announced that Jeffrey H. Miller, M.D, has earned board certification in the specialty of phlebology from the American Board of Phlebology. Dr. Miller was first board certified by the ABPh in June of 2009 to become one of an exclusive group of 412 Diplomates nationwide.
It’s with great pride that we announce this accomplishment by Jeffrey H. Miller, M.D. His certification with the ABPh is a direct reflection of his skill, knowledge, and experience in providing quality patient care, and his continued commitment to the advancement of vein care. To become board certified is truly an accomplishment. Less than 1% of all phlebology professionals in the U.S. have earned certification from the ABPh.
To become an ABPh diplomate, an applicant must complete the requisite training or experience qualifications, meet the continuing medical education requisites, and pass a stringent certification examination. Certification periods are ten years and maintenance is dependent on the ability of the diplomate to display competency in four areas of assessment: evidence of professional standing, evidence of commitment to lifelong-learning and periodic self-assessment, evidence of cognitive expertise, evaluation of performance in practice.
Jeffrey H. Miller, M.D., is not only Certified by the American Board of Phlebology but is also a Board Certified Interventional Radiologist, an expert at performing minimally invasive treatments using imaging guidance. Because the diagnosis and treatment of venous disease include ultrasound and catheter maneuvering skills, Dr. Miller, who is an expert in both, is best qualified to provide vein therapy. Advanced Vein Therapies was established in 2006 by Dr. Miller and specializes exclusively in treating varicose and spider veins. With his highly trained staff, spa-like environment, and state-of-the-
