NORCROSS, Georgia – Ashworth College today announced that author, model, TV personality, motivational speaker, entrepreneur, activist and Ashworth alumna Didiayer Snyder will be the commencement speaker at Ashworth College’s commencement on August 15.
Snyder, currently a team designer on the Emmy Award-winning Extreme Makeover: Home Edition is a two-time Ashworth College graduate having received diplomas in both Ashworth’s online carpentry and interior decorating programs. She will be presented with the College’s Alumnus of the Year Award.

"As someone who demonstrates how her education has contributed to her professional success, Didiayer Snyder is clearly a role model. We’re proud to have her as an Ashworth alumna and thrilled to have her participate in this special occasion," said Gary M. Keisling, Ashworth College Chairman and CEO.
Didiayer lives an active life both on and off camera. During breaks from filming, not only does she support philanthropic organizations like Habitat for Humanity, she is also a popular motivational speaker who continually champions the importance of distance education to various youth groups.
Originally from Australia, Snyder the entrepreneur, has developed a line of greeting cards (Gumption Greetings) and is developing a line of non-toxic home cleaning products (Greater Earth Products). Snyder the model has appeared in numerous fashion shows for high profile designers to include Badgley Mischka, Randolph Duke and Roberto Cavelli. Snyder the activist has been a force of change by donating her time and talents to Habitat for Humanity. Snyder the author has written a book entitled On Your Mark, educating aspiring models how to break into the this industry while maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
With all this, some might say she’s an over-achiever. But we think of her as the embodiment of the Ashworth independent spirit.
