The Professional Institute of Technology has committed to helping the community by continuing their free classes for the unemployed. The program has been so successful in helping the community, that the owners have decided to commit their resources to this program, and offer the FREE course until the unemployment rate reaches below 6%!
When asked why they would make such a commitment, Director Laurie Clemens stated, "The staff of The Professional Institute of Technology is committed to helping the community. While this may seem like a big commitment for us to offer, we didn't think twice about it! Steve and I truly believe that this is what makes our country, and our city the BEST! It is all about people helping people, and this is the best way we know how to GIVE BACK!"
The training center is also offering a FREE Job Club every other Thursday, and just recently hosted their first one. It was a BIG success! Community job developers and agency partners came to share with unemployed job seekers how to better prepare themselves for the job market. Many of the job seekers left with an action plan and goals to work on.
If you know anyone who is unemployed, has been laid off, or is looking to upgrade their computer skills, please feel free to have them contact a counselor at the center at 702-853-7482.. A helping hand is always waiting at LV-PITA!
